Delivery & Staff

Our goal is to assist you in any way possible in order to fulfil your vision and execute a successful event. To accomplish this we have a range of services, and can offer a level of flexibility that comes from being a small solution based business.


DELIVERY & PICK UP

Delivery & pick up charges for catering will apply as follows. We can deliver your catering in cake boxes or disposable platters to keep costs down. If your catering is delivered on porcelain platters a pick up charge will apply. These fees are calculated on the km's travelled and time of our driver. We aim to keep our delivery fees as fair as possible, merely covering our costs. Unfortunately we are not able to accept client pick ups from our kitchen at this time.
 
  • North Shore - $10-20.00 each way
  • Auckland CBD - $20.00 each way
  • Newmarket - $20.00 each way
  • Auckland Inner Suburbs - $20-65.00 each way
  • West Auckland - from $40 each way
  • East Auckland - from $40 each way
  • South Auckland - from $50 each way
Other areas - price on application.
 


PLATTERS & EQUIPMENT

You will recieve a delivery docket with all supplied equipment listed. Platters etc must be counted, washed, stacked and be ready for collection at the arranged time, which will normally be the following day.

If you use a number of caterers, please ensure that you have all Sauce Catering equipment separated for pick up, as replacement costs will be charged for any lost or broken equipment. Return trips to collect missing platters and equipment will be charged for. Menu Stands are charged for at $10.00 + gst if unreturned.

We are happy to assist you with regards to hireage of tableware and equipment to complement your function and we have experienced preferred suppliers we rely on. For prices on hireage please contact us.

We have a lovely selection of tea party plates and cup stands available for hire along with many other items we are able to supply.

STAFF

We have professional, friendly staff ready to assist you with your function. We have worked hard on our menus to ensure they meet a range of requirements and function styles. Some of our menus do require onsite staff such as a chef, kitchen assistant etc. We will discuss required or suggested staffing with you when arranging your function.

Unless otherwise requested our staff are stylishly dressed in black and white with long black waiters aprons. For a themed event we would be delighted to arrange costumes for staff to complement your vision.

For smaller functions if you require just one person to manage the flow of service, heat and serve food, and assist with clean up please appreciate we can only send our best and most trusted staff to work unsupervised, as such this role has a premium hourly rate of $32.00.

For functions of 50 guests or over and all weddings a Function Coordinator may be required to manage the food and staff. This will ensure the host is free to enjoy and socialise without needing to delegate or coordinate.

Our competitive staffing rates are below. Please appreciate staff require a minimum shift of 4 hours and must be booked a minimum of 12 days in advance.

Recommended staffing depends on function type, menu style and number of guests. All prices are ex. GST.

 
PRIVATE CHEF
 
We are able to arrange private chefs to come to your home to cook for your special occasion. To find out more please email us to discuss your needs. POA
 
 
WEDDINGS

It would be our honour to discuss your up and coming wedding reception plans with you.  We understand the immense importance of getting everything just right, cost considerations and the need of looking after your treasured friends and family, so you can relax and enjoy your special day.

We specialise in cocktail, high tea, buffet & picnic style weddings for up approximately 120 guests, although we are flexible and certainly happy to discuss different options or any out the box ideas you might have!

If you plan your wedding with Sauce, our Wedding Service will include two "One on One" meetings.
